Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement d&#8217;envergure internationale est organis\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois sur le continent africain apr\u00e8s une \u00e9dition r\u00e9ussie en Cor\u00e9e du Sud. Il vise \u00e0 rassembler des sp\u00e9cialistes internationaux pour discuter des derni\u00e8res d\u00e9couvertes concernant la mati\u00e8re organique du sol et son r\u00f4le crucial dans les d\u00e9fis \u00e9cologiques actuels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le SOM 2024 constitue une plateforme exceptionnelle pour mettre en lumi\u00e8re les comp\u00e9tences des chercheurs africains en agriculture, sciences de l&#8217;environnement et sciences des sols, et vient souligner leur contribution aux solutions globales pour la sant\u00e9 des sols et la lutte contre le changement climatique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hicham El Habti, pr\u00e9sident de l&#8217;UM6P, souligne l&#8217;importance de cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement : \u00ab&nbsp;<em>En accueillant le SOM 2024, l\u2019UM6P poursuit son engagement en faveur de la promotion de solutions durables et son plein soutien aux initiatives scientifiques pour am\u00e9liorer la sant\u00e9 des sols et lutter contre les changements climatiques.<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ngonidzashe Chirinda et Joann Whalen, professeurs chercheurs \u00e0 UM6P, ajoutent : \u00ab&nbsp;<em>La tenue du SOM 2024 au Maroc, \u00e0 Benguerir, offre une opportunit\u00e9 unique de mettre en avant le r\u00f4le de notre continent dans la recherche scientifique mondiale et dans la lutte contre les d\u00e9fis environnementaux globaux.
